Visits

What a visit is, who is on it, and what the crew does on site.

A visit is one appointment at one address: the crew arrives, does the work, leaves. A job has one visit or many, and the calendar shows visits, not jobs.

Time and crew

Each visit has a date, a start and end time, and a crew. You set the crew when you create the job and can change it per visit — swap a person out for one day without changing the job. One person on each visit is the lead; that is who the client sees as the contact.

An Anytime visit has a date but no time; use it for work that fits wherever the day allows.

On site

Open the visit on a phone from the schedule. The crew has:

  • Start — records the arrival time.
  • Notes and photos — before-and-after photos and remarks, kept with the visit.
  • Complete — records the finish time and logs the hours for everyone on the crew. Those hours feed timesheets and, if you use it, payroll.

A visit completed by mistake can be reopened; the logged hours are removed and the visit goes back to scheduled.

Reports for the client

A completed visit can be shared with the client as a report — a page with the photos, the notes and what was done. Turn the link on from the visit page and send it; turning it off later makes the link stop working.

Reminders to the client

If text reminders are on, the client gets a message before the visit with the date and time. A client who has opted out of automated messages does not receive one; you can still message them by hand from the inbox.
