Properties (service addresses)
Why documents need an address, and how to manage several addresses for one client.
All help topics
A property is an address you service. Most clients have one — their home or their premises — but a landlord or a property manager can have many, and each job happens at one of them.
Where properties come from
Add the first address on the client's page under Properties, or type it into the address field when you create a quote or a job — the address is saved to the client as you go. Start typing and pick the suggestion so the street, city and postal code land in the right fields.
Why a quote, job or invoice asks for one
Every new quote, job and invoice must name the property it is for. That address is what prints on the document, what the crew navigates to, and what decides the location-based fees and minimum charge if you use them. When a client has exactly one property it is chosen for you; with several, pick one from the list.
A request does not need an address — a lead can arrive with nothing more than a phone number. You add the address when the request turns into a quote or a job.
The property page
Open a property from the client's page to see its own details: on-site contacts (a tenant, a building manager), access notes, and the last documents for that address. Editing the address here updates it for future documents; documents already sent keep the address they were sent with.
