Requests
Where new work arrives, and how a request becomes a quote or a job.
All help topics
A request is a lead: someone wants work done and you have not priced it yet. Requests arrive from your public price list, from the client portal, from an inbound text or email, or you add one yourself after a phone call.
Working a request
Open Requests. New ones sit at the top with the status New. Open a request to see what the client asked for, their contact details and — if they used the online calculator — the estimate they saw.
From the request page:
- Schedule an assessment if you need to see the site first. It goes on the calendar like a visit.
- Convert to quote when you are ready to price it. The client, the address and the line items carry over.
- Convert to job when there is nothing to quote — a repeat client, a fixed price.
A request can be converted once. After that the request shows a link to the quote or job it became, and the work continues there.
Statuses
New → In progress (you are working on it, an assessment is booked) → Quoted or Converted. A request you will not take is marked Closed; it stays in the list for the record and stops showing in the counts on the dashboard.
Settings
Settings → Requests decides whether assessments are offered and what a new request asks for.
